Aziza and the Cure is quickly becoming one of my favorite alternative indie groups. The duo, comprised of Joelle and River, take influence from a wide range of avenues to create a unique genre they dub as Sympohnic Soul. Characterized by vibing violins, feeling-filled hooks, and conscious rap verses, I’ve had their latest track “Sun Song,” on repeat since it dropped a few days back.
I might have spoken to soon, this is officially Grammy Nominated and may actually be the video of the year. Tierra Whack is so fucking cool!
This is the video of the year, no cap.
Tim Legend is on his way to solidifying the 2nd part of his name. Really dope stuff here.
Clams Casino and Plu2o Nash connect on “Gravity” for Adult Swim Singles series and it’s my favorite off the package.
I’ve been a fan of R.LUM.R for a while now and somehow he only gets better. “With my Words” is his best work to date and shows off a more vulnerable side to the up and coming artist. Enjoy.
Mozado’s debut project is a strong delivery of Boston based music. The 5 track EP highlights his production style without taking away from the vocalists deliveries.
Jesus, what a remix! I did NOT like the original version of this record, Joey Bada$$ couldn’t even save it with his sick flow. Luckily INZO amps it up to the top possible sound and now it is ill.
Jazzy and soulful is a rare way to describe a singer going in on top of a brass electronic infused production style, but Estef is just that.. “Come Around” is a soulful look into Estef’s love life. The simple and genre bending song is a good listen!
This dude is really making a wave. Skullkid’s abstract style of creating is odd and cool at the same damn time. Keep a tab on the kid.
